Our kura is proud of our mahi in upholding Te Ao Māori through our team, school-wide and performance kapa haka groups. Students participate in learning waiata and haka, and also have the opportunity to be part of our performance team. This group works towards the Kapiti schools kapa haka festival, Tākiri o te Ata, which is usually in Term 4.
In 2026, Te Horo School is hosting Tākiri o te Ata. Our whole community is working together in support of this event, and this page provides links and information relating to Tākiri o te Ata, and our kapa haka mahi.
