Performing Arts

The Performing Arts are an important part of the curriculum at Te Horo School. We have a variety of opportunities for our students to develop their skills in this area, making the most of expert tutors and community talent to support our programmes. These activities can vary year to year, but have included productions such as Shrek Junior, choir, music lessons (such as drums, ukulele, recorder, guitar, glockenspiel), rock bands, talent quests and kapa haka.

We like to share our hard work with the community, through concerts or performance opportunities such as Bandquest or singing for the residents of our local retirement villages. At Te Horo School, we love to watch others perform too and enjoy visiting groups throughout the year.

The school financially subsidises all performing arts lessons however, some events will require a parentrental contribution.
