The school was built in 1893 and has always been a focal point of the community.

We have an extremely supportive community, which includes a competent and committed Board of Trustees and Home and School Committee. Special features of Te Horo School are the rural-urban feel and a number of renowned events: ANZAC Service, Agricultural Day, Paddy’s Mart, Performing
Arts Programme, School Band.
Our school enjoys excellent community support and is well resourced because of this. We welcome all parents and whanau to take an active part in their child’s learning process and invite you to arrange a visit to your child’s class and take part.
